At Sonne Steel we ensure on time delivery to meet our customer’s construction schedules by utilizing the most sophisticated Tekla production software available.
We can efficiently organize and manage production with accurate models and data. This tracks procurement of materials, production, and deliveries.
Quality is controlled by using Telka 3D modeling and sending this information to the shop floor for fabrication, eliminating manual errors and utilizing automated fabrication equipment. Fabrication is extremely efficient and accurate using automation saving our customers time and money on each project.
Sonne Steel provides beam design, load calculations, complete layout, and full detailing for residential steel projects. They also fabricate and install all structural steel members.
Sonne Steel provides structural steel, stair towers, and railings for the commercial market, including all fabrication and erection. They will ship products anywhere in the US and erect projects within 200 miles of Louisville KY.

The founders, Eric Sonne and Ben Tribble both graduated from Speed Scientific School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. Eric has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Ben has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Together the two bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the building and construction industry.
They began Sonne Steel with the idea of a company that was devoted to manufacturing and installing steel for the residential housing market. Over the last two decades they have grown and expanded into the industrial and commercial steel markets.
Today, the company encompasses a 36,000 square foot manufacturing facility and provides design, engineering, fabrication, and full erection for both residential and commercial projects.
